In the Year 2007

As we finished 2006, we celebrated the Incarnation of our Savior, the wonder of God become man in order that we might be reconciled to Him. We delight in the truth of John's words: "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John bore witness about him, and cried out, 'This was he of whom I said, 'He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.') And from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known." (John 1:14-18) In the new year, we look forward to the new ways in which Christ will make God known to us as we seek Him!

In the first month of 2006

Ryan turned a quarter-century old.
We celebrated with a Coldstone ice cream cake.

In the second month of 2006

We went cross-country skiing in Seeley Lake, MT, a few times and
Ryan's beard froze.

In the third month of 2006

We celebrated Pi Day with a pudding pie
and worked a lot. It wasn't an incredibly exciting month.

In the fourth month of 2006

Ryan played in the Missoula Ultimate Frisbee Spring League, Rebekah worked on homework and her paper for her Master's, and we had beautiful sunsets.
We went on our traditional Easter picnic despite the snow (it had stopped by the time this picture was taken).

In the fifth month of 2006

After many, many hours (days) of work, Rebekah finished her Master's paper and graduated with an M.A. in Pure Mathematics from the University of Montana. Ryan was in CA for the event. (Okay, Rebekah told him to go because it wasn't a big deal since she's still a student--he'll be there for the next graduation!)
To celebrate her graduation and to surprise Ryan when he got home, Rebekah painted the master bedroom.
We went climbing outdoors for the first time ever (together).

In the sixth month of 2006

Mobius got a steriod shot and started new food in an attempt to gain weight and avert the allergic reactions she seemed to be having. After a few months, she had gained two pounds and grown all her fur back. She's a much healthier kitty now!
We painted our upstairs bathroom.
We added some plants to the front yard.
Mobius took her first trip in the car to somewhere other than the vet. Since it was a new experience, she decided to go big and come with us on our journey to Grass Valley, CA (a 17-hour trip over two days). From there, we went galavanting around the country (well, Rebekah did; Ryan only went to Wheaton and then back to CA), while Mobius hung out with Ryan's parents.
